In this article, I will be showing you the miracle skincare products that you can buy on Amazon. Shopping for skincare has always overwhelmed me. So many ingredients—none of which I am entirely sure I know the purpose of. Half the time I don’t even know what I am trying to accomplish: smoothing, moisturizing, tightening, brightening, exfoliating, the list goes on. I just want beautiful skin! But it seems that good skin is unnecessarily difficult to accomplish these days.
I have been on the hunt for the perfect skincare products that really have a dramatic impact on the overall appearance of your skin for quite some time. Below, I will share the tried-and-true products that have worked great for me. However, because no two faces are the same, all products mentioned also had to be critically acclaimed across the internet in order to be featured.
For reference, I have normal acne-prone skin. Meaning that my skin is oily in the summer and dry in the winter. But let me tell you, I have struggled with acne for as long as I can remember (which makes skincare shopping that much more difficult). The photos below show my progress. The photo on the left was 3 months ago, when I was experiencing pretty bad adult acne, the photo on the right was taken today. Below I will walk you through the products I have been using.
1. Bio Oil — The Oil You Will Love To Have On Your Face
I have been using bio oil since I was in high school when I struggled with eczema on my legs. I would scratch them all the time, leaving scabs and scars that lasted for years. This oil was truly a saving grace. It didn’t provoke further irritation and left my legs instantly looking healthy and glowy. The self-inflicted scars vanished within a week to two of use. As I got older and my acne began to leave unwanted scars, I began using this product on my face and the results were remarkable. My scars immediately began to improve, my skin became radiant and healthy-looking and my skin town evened out.
The list of active ingredients is impressive and the actives are prominent in the formula (which is hard to come by these days!) Let’s break down the ingredients. The second ingredient on the list is Calendula Oil which is great for everything from acne to psoriasis. It also contains Vitamin A (retinol) which as a standalone ingredient has personally, had a great impact on my skin appearance from everything to skin elasticity, breakout prevention, and fine line reduction. Vitamin E is also present in the formula which has anti-aging properties.
Everyone on Amazon also agrees. This miracle skincare product has an average 4.5-star review with almost 70,000 reviews. It is great for scars, stretch marks, and uneven skin tone. It also makes your skin soft, smooth, plump and moisturized. It’s also non-comedogenic, meaning it doesn’t cause breakouts. They also claim to be dermatologists recommended. Check it out here to see before and after photos in the review. This is one product everyone should have on hand.
2. Aztec Secret Indian Clay Mask – The Mask You Actually Want To Wear in 2021
This one was a product I saw all over the internet but was hesitant to try. This mask, like the bio-oil, can be used for your hair or face. I have not personally tried it on my hair, but for your face, it works wonders.
One of my favorite things about this mask is that it only has one ingredient—the “secret” ingredient that the product was named after, Bentonite Clay. I had never heard of Bentonite clay, even after taking an entire 6-month course on cosmetic chemistry and skincare formulation. It really is still somewhat “secret.”
It works by removing excess oil from the skin and can calm inflammation which helps reduce breakouts. There are also some studies to show that it helps reduce the effects or remove the levels of toxins in your body. For this reason, some people put it on their armpits or feet to detox them, I haven’t personally tried this but the reviews on Amazon imply that people have had positive results.
The clay is a powder in its natural state and only becomes a paste once mixed with liquid. They recommend using apple cider vinegar as the medium, but you can use water as well. I have tried both and honestly, didn’t notice much of a difference with the apple cider vinegar base vs the water, but I encourage you to see what works best for you.
After one use, I noticed a visible improvement to my skin. The active breakouts were reduced in size, redness and inflammation. In general, my pores felt cleaner and looked smaller.

3. Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask – Your Lips Will Thank Me
The next miracle skincare product I absolutely love is this K-Beauty lip sleeping mask. This lip balm was introduced to me by several of my friends. They would rave about it, pass it around for everyone to try—this was pre-COVID of course. I have never been someone to splurge on a lip product, I would always use whatever cheap chapstick would get me by. But this product is da-balm! It lasts for hours, tastes delicious, and really locks in moisture for soft, supple lips. I put this on before I go to be dand once in the morning. This alone is enough to elevate your no makeup look to making you seem put together. And there is no need to re-apply throughout the day.
4. The Mighty Patch – The Overnight Pimple Solution
4th on the list for miracle skincare is the Mighty Patch. I talked about this in my Overnight Acne Hacks article but it’s worth a mention here also. This is one of the only products I have ever seen that has almost all 5 stars on Amazon, and for good reason. This clinically tested patch works wonders for active pimples. Place it over top a blemish, leave it on overnight, and in the morning you will be astonished to see the debris and pus from the pimple on the patch.
It’s somewhat gross but also strangely satisfying to see what was extracted from your face. This is perfect for those whiteheads you’re refraining from popping or even the painful blemishes that are still forming under the surface. I have made these patches part of my nightly skincare routine and am consistently pleased to wake up to reduced, less painful blemishes. They even make an “invisible” version of the patches that can be worn discreetly during the day—which is also a great way to keep you from picking at it!
5. This TruSkin Vitamin C Serum
On the hunt for a comprehensive product that will transform your face? This serum is the answer to your prayers. It is marketed as a vitamin C serum but has multiple other active ingredients that will improve the appearance of your skin. The vitamin C gives you a radiant glow. The formula also contains Vitamin E and hyaluronic acid which help with skin elasticity and moisture.
I have used this serum consistently every night and have noticed a drastic improvement in the appearance of my skin. The first time I used it, I woke up and felt like I looked better than I ever had first thing in the morning. After consistently using it, my skin has gotten brighter and healthier looking. I even feel like my acne scars have lightened and I have generally gotten fewer breakouts since I added this to my routine. Compared to all of the other serums I have tried, this one is by far my favorite. And the people on the internet clearly agree. It has gotten over a 4.5 average review on amazon with nearly 62,000 reviews. There are some pretty impressive before and after photos you can see there as well.
6. The Tula Eye Brightening Balm
I had to add this one to the article after it was initially complete but this eye balm is indeed a miracle product. I got it in my FabFitFun box and was blown away. This eye balm is just what you need in the morning for puffiness, dark circles, and to give your eyes an overall brighter and more awake look. This formula is packed with active ingredients and the probiotics that Tula is known for. The first time I put this on my eyes, I knew that it was a magical product that the world needed to know about.
It glides on smoothly and instantly makes your eyes look brighter, de-puffed and more awake. The formula continues to work over time as well, so in addition to the instant gratification you get when putting it on, in an hour or two you will be even more amazed. And in addition to making you look much better, it feels like a dream on your eyes. The cool, silky formula immediately makes you feel more awake and alert. You really have to try it for yourself to understand.
7. Coola Tanning Face Serum
Because you should be wearing your sunscreen, your face sometimes can lack that sunkissed glow that improves your appearance and confidence. Therefore, I introduce to you: The Coola Tanning Face Serum that will leave your skin hydrated and radiant. I either mix it with my moisturizer or apply it directly to my face and neck as part of my nighttime skincare routine. The tan doesn’t last long on my skin so I apply it every day. But according to the reviews, it lasts up to 4 days for others. All of that’s to say—apply as you see fit for the desired glow.
Aside from its tanning benefits, the serum also gives a nice healthy moisture to the skin and helps reduce the signs or aging. As someone who is acne prone, I also love that it doesn’t make me break out.
Worth Honorable Mention: Good Ol’ SPF
While not a miracle skincare product per se, I had to include sunscreen in this article if nothing more than a friendly reminder to use it. Sunscreen is probably the least exciting product to buy but a skincare routine is not complete without it. As I mentioned in my Things I Learned In My Twenties post, wearing sunscreen is one of the things I overlooked when I was younger and wish I hadn’t. In case the threat of melanoma doesn’t convince you to wear it, maybe the aesthetic benefits of it will. The sun accounts for 90% of visible signs of aging! Don’t believe me? Check out this photo of a truck driver, one side of his face underwent 20 years of sun damage while the other did not.
I could go on and on about why you should wear it, but I will save it for another article. I like this one, it’s a good amount of product for a reasonable price. Most drugstores also carry it and it’s recommended by dermatologists, including mine.
