I created this emotional abuse test to help women like me get out of unhealthy situations. I was in an emotionally abusive relationship for four years. If you want to hear more about it, I briefly touch on it in the things I wish I knew in my early twenties post. But speaking from experience, I know just how difficult it can be to even accept the fact that your relationship is unhealthy much less make the decision to leave.
There are hundreds of other abuse indicators outside of what is asked in this test. Therefore, I encourage you to seek help if you are a victim of abuse or potentially could be a victim of abuse. If you sought out this emotional abuse test, you probably aren’t in the healthiest of relationships. Therefore, use this test as a gut check rather than a source of truth. After my relationship ended, I began learning a lot about abusers and the red flags to look out for. What starts as a sweet, loving relationship can quickly nosedive into a dangerous one. I wanted to create this emotional abuse test using common red flags I have uncovered in my research, as well as things I have learned from experience.
Unlike other emotional abuse tests, this one will tell you whether or not you are being abused and give you the resources to leave without you having to memorize your answers, tally up your scores, etc.
